Floor Plan Generator
We are introducing the Floor Plan Generator, a new tool that draws a floor plan for you. Set your land size, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and how the kitchen should look. The tool draws the plan seen from the top, with every room in place and its size written on it. You do not need to draw anything. Find it on the home page, under From a plan or a sketch.
Features:
Land Size
- Set your total land size in square feet or square meters
- Enter width and length instead, for land that is not square
- Square feet is the default unit
- Numbers convert when you switch units
Bedrooms
- Up to 8 bedrooms
- A size for each bedroom, so the main one comes out bigger
Bathrooms
- Full bathrooms and small ones with only a toilet and a sink, counted separately
- Attach a bathroom to one bedroom, or keep it for everyone
- Bathtub option
- Option to keep the shower away from the sink
Kitchen
- Four shapes: an L, a U, two counters facing each other, or one counter on the wall
- Island options: a breakfast bar, an island to cook on, or two islands
- Dishwasher and second sink options
- Island choices match the shape you picked
Other Rooms
- Sixteen rooms to add: living room, dining room, entrance hall, home office, laundry, walk-in closet, storage room, pantry, balcony, terrace, garage, nursery, home gym, media room, prayer room and maid's room
- Living and dining can share one open room
Custom Prompt
- Add your own prompt for extra direction
- Example: keep the kitchen far from the bedrooms
