# Virtual Staging AI

Upload a photo of an empty room and DecorAI adds furniture, rugs, lights and decor in about 30 seconds. The walls, windows, doors and floor stay where they are, so the staged photo shows the real property. It is made for real estate agents, home sellers, landlords and stagers who need furnished listing photos without renting or moving furniture.

## How virtual staging works in DecorAI

Virtual staging runs in the Room Redesign tool.

1. Upload a photo of the room, empty or furnished
2. Choose the room type, such as living room, bedroom, dining room or home office
3. Choose a style, or describe the furniture and colors you want in your own words
4. Set Furniture Handling (see below)
5. Get up to 4 staged versions per run and compare them

## Furniture Handling options

- **Keep Existing:** keeps the furniture already in the photo and changes the style around it
- **Empty Room:** removes all furniture from the photo before restaging the room
- **Select Furniture:** pick the furniture types the AI may add or replace, such as a sofa, bed, dining table or rug

Two more controls help with listing photos:

- **Lock Object:** keeps chosen items, such as a kitchen island or a fireplace, in their exact look and position
- **AI Creativity Level:** from Strict, which keeps the room as it is, to Imaginative, which tries bolder ideas

For an occupied home, the separate Empty Room tool removes all furniture and clutter first, so you can show the bare room or stage it again.

## Styles

DecorAI has 54 interior styles, including Modern, Scandinavian, Japandi, Industrial, Mid-Century Modern, Coastal, Modern Farmhouse, Art Deco and Luxury. You can stage the same room in several styles and pick the one that fits the buyer for that property.

## After staging

- **Magic Edit:** mark one area, such as a wall or a corner, and describe the change
- **Erase Object:** remove one item, such as a box, a cable or a chair
- **Image Upscale:** make the final photo sharper for the listing
- **Image to Video:** turn a staged photo into a short video with camera movement

## What it does not do

- **No real furniture.** Buyers see an empty room at the showing. Tell them the photos are virtually staged.
- **No disclosure label.** It does not add a "virtually staged" note to the image. Many listing services and local rules ask agents to label staged photos and to show the original too. Check your MLS rules.
- **No hiding defects.** Do not use it to remove cracks, stains, damage or permanent fixtures from a listing photo.
- **No measurements.** It does not measure the room or check whether a sofa or bed fits.
- **No shopping list.** The furniture in the image may not exist as a real product.
- **No floor plans or 3D tours.** It makes photos, not floor plans, CAD files or virtual tours.
- **No guarantee every detail stays.** Compare each result with the original photo before you publish it.
